The Minimal Base Size of Primitive Solvable Permutation Groups

A base of a permutation group G is a sequence B of points from the permutation domain such that only the identity of G fixes B pointwise. Answering a question of Pyber, we prove that all primitive solvable permutation groups have a base of size at most four.

A Minimal Non-solvable Group of Homeomorphisms

Let PL0(I) represent the group of orientation-preserving piecewise-linear homeomorphisms of the unit interval which admit finitely many breaks in slope, under the operation of composition. We find a non-solvable groupW and show thatW embeds in every non-solvable subgroup of PL0(I). We find mild conditions under which other non-solvable subgroups (B, (≀Z≀), (Z≀), and (≀Z)) embed in subgroups of ...

Generic Linear Cocycles over a Minimal Base

We prove that a generic linear cocycle over a minimal base dynamics of finite dimension has the property that the Oseledets splitting with respect to any invariant probability coincides almost everywhere with the finest dominated splitting. Therefore the restriction of the generic cocycle to a subbundle of the finest dominated splitting is uniformly subexponentially quasiconformal. This extends...

Solvable $L$-subgroup of an $L$-group

In this paper, we study the notion of solvable $L$-subgroup of an $L$-group and provide its level subset characterization and this justifies the suitability of this extension. Throughout this work, we have used normality of an $L$-subgroup of an $L$-group in the sense of Wu rather than Liu.

ON THE STRUCTURE OF THE AUTOMORPHISM GROUP OF A MINIMAL NONABELIAN p-GROUP (METACYCLIC CASE)

In this paper we find the complete structure for the automorphism groups of metacyclic minimal nonabelian 2-groups. This, together with [6, 7], gives the complete answer to the Question 15 from [5] (respectively Question 20 from [4]) in the case of metacyclic groups. We also correct some inaccuracies and extend the results from [13].
